Our shelves are stacked with hundreds of rare, self-published and obscure photobooks, zines and magazines, that you are welcome to browse when you visit. We’ve been building our collection for several years and are very grateful to all the artists & photographers that have donated their work to this unique collection.
How it works
Our photobook collection works on a donation basis, following the contribution terms and conditions specifications. To ensure our collection remains accessible to all we're not able to accept walk-in donations without being pre-approved.
Selling your Publication
One of the key aims of our photobook collection is to connect people directly with the photographers and publishers behind each work. We encourage you to explore and purchase publications directly from the artists themselves by following the link provided on each photobook’s page in our online collection.
Please note: we do not stock publications for sale, nor do we sell on behalf of the photographers or publishers.
Tours
Private Tours and Talks of our photobook collection can be booked upon request with our archivist, please email us with details of your date and requirements.
Public Programme
All newly contributed publications will be featured within our quarterly reading room hosted in our basement gallery. This will be a open free event for all and advertised via our website with links to all featured photobooks.
Lending Collections: Photobook Tour
As part of our mission to champion emerging and self-published photographers we carefully curate a selection of photobooks that will be lent to other establishments for a short period of time. Currently on is our collaboration with The Lavery, where you can view a selection of photobooks that explore Fashion, London and those launched with us.
